Verizon release Droid Razr Maxx:
With the Droid Razr being available on Verizon Wireless for only $199.99 it is interesting to note that the arrival of the new slightly chunkier Droid Razr Maxx has somewhat eclipsed its slimmer slightly older cousin even before it has arrived.
With Verizon set to release the smartphone in the next week or so, we wondered just who much it will cost on contract and also SIM free.
With specs as high end as this device we allude that it will put the device in the Apple iPhone galaxy nexus bracket or thereabouts, and with this in mind I would hazard a guess that it will be sub $300 on a two year contract and sub $600 to buy outright, SIM free.
This is based purely on the price of the Apple iPhone variants and the fact that the Droid Razr Maxx is roughly on par with this smartphone.
Motorola Droid Razr Maxx Release Date:
With Droid life claim a 26th of January date. Are you a bit p***ed off that Motorola released such an improved device only a few months after one another, and are you looking forward to getting a true 4G device with a proper qwerty keyboard as many claim they would have liked on the previous models?
Battery Life Improved:
I am so happy that the simple issue of smartphone battery life looks like it has finally been properly addressed in early 2012 by Samsung and now Motorola, as this just seemed like such a step back with “moores law” well and truly caught out in some kind of loop of death where one axis was going well (speed, miniaturization) and the other (battery life) bent back on itself and chased its tail!
