Nexus S gets free Android 4.0 ICS update:

With the final release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the US, owners of the Nexus S version have been asking where they can get the Ice Cream Sandwich update that was promised?

Testing complete:

Obviously with such a big update, Google needed to test areas that could have caused issues to users smartphones, and it would appear that this test period is over and a global roll out of the new ICS version of Android will be issued over the next month or so.

Be patient advice from Google:

With the roll out being phased region to region, Recombu have informed people that the update is complete but the roll out will not be all at once, so Google have advised owners to be patient in the interim and wait until the update becomes available.

Other methods of getting ICS sooner:

You could, if you were so desperate to get the update sooner, download the install package, and install manually, but this would invalidate any warranty you had and for the sake of a little more time seems like a lot of hassle for a version that will offer some improvements but will not make your phone into something totally new.

So what is new in Ice Cream Sandwich?
